Roger Lake, Auction House Founding DirectorAuction House has become the UK’s number 1 residential property auctioneer, in terms of lots sold. The latest independent figures from the Essential Information Group indicate that during the first nine months of 2012 Auction House sold 1,414 properties at auction, with 1,308 being residential lots, positioning them ahead of the big London firms and other corporate operators.
Auction House Founding Director Roger Lake, said, “This is a phenomenal achievement for. When we entered the arena five years ago, we had no idea that we would reach pole position so quickly. Our success is proof that our philosophy of selling properties on a regional basis is flourishing, and is a credit to the hard work of our 27 auction teams around the country.”
The number of lots entered into Auction House sales has increased by over 15 per cent (15.2 per cent) year on year, and our success rate is strong at nearly 78 per cent (77.8 per cent) - well ahead of its regional competitors. New branches have been opened in Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff and Hertfordshire.
Romans – already one of the country’s leading regional auctioneers - will boost the Auction House performance in Berkshire, North Hampshire, South Buckinghamshire and South Oxfordshire.
Roger added, “Demand in the regions has remained strong, and we haven’t seen the decline that some other national auctioneers seem to be experiencing. We’re now finding that more commercial lots are being entered through our regional auctions, with encouraging results and impressive prices.”
