New time-saving tool from Landmark Systems

Landmark“The cherry on the top of the cake” is how one client describes the new Works Management module from Landmark Systems Ltd, provider of the KEY Property range of software.

Nigel Parsons, MD of Landmark says, “This is a time-saving tool for anyone involved in property management by simplifying the allocation of work, notifying all parties concerned and tracking the work in progress.”

Adding a new dimension to the programme Works Management replaces paper notes and telephone messages by creating space for logging calls by type and severity. For example ‘calls electrical/immediate’, ‘calls plumbing/2-4 weeks’ and assigning them to a contractor whose details are set up within a list of contractors in a file in the programme.

Each call type has a default message saved which can then be attached to an email – the Works Management module links directly to Outlook email and Word for letters. Follow up calls are scheduled, saved in the Diary and a ‘flash’ reminder appears on the screen saving the property manager time and paper. Notification of intended action is given to all parties involved the tenant, the landlord and the contractor. A full reporting option from the diary allows control of tenders in hand and can be sorted by contractor.
