The first two months of 2008 has shown that the UK property market is more competitive than ever but Home Stagers’ research has revealed that spending £100 on improving the presentation of a property can be more effective than reducing the asking price by £1000s.

Home Stagers specialises in ‘property staging’, a marketing tool which combines up to date design trends, room function definition and lifestyle creation to realise the full potential of the key rooms and achieve optimum value.

MD of Home Stagers, Tina Jesson says that Home Stagers’ services can increase saleability and boost property value:

‘A small investment in dressing a property for sale can result in a major return. Working with estate agents our stylists provide innovative solutions to create stylish interiors that will appeal to potential buyers. The agent can maximise value and sell in the fastest possible time. Agents offering stylist services can also appeal to developers where show homes can be given the much needed wow factor.’

Christopher Hall, former President NAEA and recently appointed Chairman of Home Stagers, has found home staging to be an invaluable marketing tool for his own agency:

‘Home staging is still a relatively new technique, but one which is rapidly being seen as a fundamental part of selling properties. Home Stagers is at the forefront of this new industry.

We rarely list a property now where a Home Stagers stylist doesn’t help to style the home for photography – the cost is insignificant whilst the results are important. My experience of working with Home Stagers has resulted in an increase in enquiries, valuations and instructions more sales for our clients at a better price.’
